Worcester County Register of Wills Office
The Worcester County Register of Wills manages all probate court records for the county. Hon. Terri Westcott serves as the Register. The office is in Room 102 of the courthouse at One West Market Street in Snow Hill. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but the office does not take walk-ins after 3:30 PM. If you plan to visit, make sure you arrive before that cutoff time.
The office asks that you call (410) 632-1529 before you come in to open a new estate. This call lets the staff make sure you have all the right documents with you. They are available by phone from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays. You can also email questions to twestcott@registers.maryland.gov. Include your phone number in the email so they can call you back. An online chat option is available too. Setting up an appointment cuts down your wait time at the courthouse.
Worcester County offers a courthouse drop box for submitting paperwork outside of office hours. How to Find Worcester County Probate Records
The Maryland Register of Wills Estate Search portal is a free online tool for finding probate court records in Worcester County. It covers estate cases from 1998 forward for all Maryland counties. Worcester County Estate Records

Modern probate court records in Worcester County follow state rules. Under § 7-101 of the Estates and Trusts Code, the personal representative files an inventory within three months. The list of interested persons is due in 20 days under § 7-104. An information report comes after that. The first account is due within nine months.
